These terms apply to people and firms approved for the Octet Partners (“Octet”) partner program (“you”). By applying or referring a company you agree to them.
What you do
You may refer established companies to Octet, through your partner dashboard or your personal referral link. Only refer a company whose owner or an authorized decision-maker has agreed to be introduced to Octet and to be contacted by Octet about it. You confirm this for each referral.
What you must not do
- Quote prices, estimates, timelines or outcomes, or promise that a company will be accepted or paid.
- Say or suggest that you represent Octet or any data buyer, or name any buyer.
- Ask for, receive or pass on a company’s records, files, exports, logins or other credentials.
- Share any part of your commission with the company you referred.
- Send unsolicited bulk messages or otherwise break marketing, privacy or anti-spam law when you refer.
Commission
You earn a share of the fee Octet receives on a License signed by a company you referred, at the rate shown in your dashboard when the referral was accepted. It is paid within [30] days after Octet is paid, and only on amounts Octet actually receives and keeps. A company is credited to the first partner who refers it while no open deal with that company exists. Octet may decline any referral.
Disclosure
If you are an accountant, lawyer, financial adviser or other professional, you are responsible for any rules that require you to tell your client you may be paid for the referral, and you will tell them.
Independence and ending the program
You are an independent contractor, not Octet’s employee, agent or partner in a legal sense. Either side may end your participation at any time by email. Commission already earned on referrals made before then is still paid.
